I think this hotel is a real gem! The only downside is the location. We used it as a stopover whilst travelling from Wexford to Galway and for that reason it was perfect. The hotel itself is lovely-the room we had was fantastic-spotlessly clean, spacious and airy.Staff were excellent and the bakery open in the hotel reception area is ideal for a spot of afternoon tea!
Design of rooms was very modern and the food in the bar was amazing.
Comfort of the room was excellant
My stay there was for a training purpose - and I'd have to say that the facilities available for this were excellent. Staff were very courtious and pleasant. We were on training weekend with lectures on both Saturday and Sunday but most importantly we were not put under any pressure to check out on the Sunday which was vvery important to us. From this point of view alone I would have no hesitation is recommending this venue for conference/training.
Everything was good.
The staff were amazing so freindly and welcoming - nothing was too much trouble
Nothing - its was all brilliant
the rooms were a good size, n plenty of space for storage of suit cases.
rooms are quite far away from exits.
our stay in horse and jockey was so good we booked a second weekend with our son and daughter in law and had a great weekend staff were very friendly and helpful it was a great weekend hope to do it again
friendly staff beautiful food and great gym and swimming pool
The meal portion sizes where fantastic and the food was lovely.
Nothing against hotel at all just found the over all expierence of South/value for money by euro very expensive.
Easy to find modern clean and comfortable Staff very helpfull
The staff was excellent. They made every request simple and easy without any hesitation. Caroline Egan has a knack for suggesting the right plan to make your stay easy and comfortable Mike and Carol Spain Dowagiac, Michigan
We stayed there for only one night having travelled from Dublin.. We were travelling on to Killarney the next morning. My husband had stayed there a few times for business trips and liked the hotel. We like a swimming pool and jacucci etc and it was in a good location for the journey we were continuing on the next day.
We were very happy with the accommodation and were given a superior room and all the facilities were excellent. There was some sort of noise all the time I think it may be from air conditioning that was the only thing that bothered me. It didnt bother my husband! We didnt complain about it.
Location good but only if you have access to a car, staff very friendly
Parts of the room were not clean, tissues found behind the drawers, lots of dust on the shelf over the toilet, seemed the obvious areas were cleaned and dusted
The most enjoyable stay during a 15 day trip all around Ireland.
Very peaceful even with several conferences running. Food in Silks restaurant is excellent and plentiful. Plenty of places within the hotel to sit and relax in peace and quiet.
This is our second visit and on both occasions the swimming pool water and jacuzzi water have been cloudy. Also the whole area needs a bit of TLC. Tiles in steam room need replacing in places and the sharp edges are quite dangerous; there are areas where tiles need to be thoroughly cleaned or replaced as they are coated with something like limescale; bottom of steam room door dirty and in need of attention. Pillows in bedrooms are very uncomfortable - last time we tried to get hold of softer ones but without success. These are not complaints so much as things needed to improve a lovely hotel
Friendly staff Quiet and peaceful atmosphere Value for money
